Presented with a uniquely challenging parcel of land, located on a waterfront lot in Canyon Lake, Connie
Roberts brought a team of professionals together that ultimately resulted in a beautiful lake house we
dearly love and enjoy. By no measure was it an easy task to transform this overgrown piece of land with
a dilapidated mobile home, a septic tank from 1969 and a 30-foot drop off in the back into the modern
abode it is today. To our delight, Connie was up to the task and enthusiastic from the very beginning.
Throughout the Happy Owl Lakehouse project, Connie’s passion for building shined through as she never
shied away from the challenges that regularly presented themselves, some much bigger than others.
Connie’s commitment to overcoming such hurdles, her creative resourcefulness and the dedication she
has to making things right - all the way to the bitter end - are by far some of the most endearing
qualities we cherished along the way.
As for the house itself, we are continually pleased with the quality of the workmanship. Knowing we
were trying to stay within a specific budget, Connie did not allow us to make unwise decisions when it
came to crucial elements because she takes great pride in her work and aims to have fully satisfied
clients, now and in years to come. She understood our vision and when something presented itself that
clearly fell outside of our dream, she would alert us before going through with costly installations.
Connie is truly a kind, patient person with a caring heart, yet she also understands construction in the
most cerebral intellectual realms imaginable. We are forever grateful for her persistence in not just
completing the project well but for applying her own higher-level building standards in areas we would
have never known but could have eventually realized. Listening to her speak the language of building, it
doesn’t take long for an observer to see that Connie Roberts is an industry leader and a seasoned
professional who truly enjoys her work and always aims to please.

Working with Connie the Owner of Onyx Contracting was incredible. The ONYX team was very professional, timely, and dedicated to the completion of our massive projects we laied out for Connie. We recommend her for any and all Construction projects

The Onyx team, and especially Connie, worked with me to reimagine my ~40 year old house. I asked for solutions to "no longer hate my house" and not only do I not hate it, I love it. They worked with me and around me, since we lived in the home through this major renovation. Connie and I made all design decisions together and she continually suggested exactly the right colors, products, and solutions to meet a concept I didn't even have fully formed in my own mind. All projects of this size come with headaches, but we worked through those with great communication. I really am thrilled with my space now.

It was a pleasure working with Connie and oynx group for the remodel of my historic property in downtown austin. This was a complex project as it included restoring materials in an 85 year old building and bringing it back to life. Connie and her team were very resourceful and creative in coming up with ways to make things work well. Connie was on the job site multiple times per week and supervised her guys well. Connie is trustworthy and that's an important trait to have in a GC these days. The project was also completed in a timely manner.

Typing my review for Connie Roberts at the moment. ONYX was very professional, timely, and dedicated to the completion of both projects we laid out for her. Omni-Barre and Bloc Cycle. she was building out the Tropical Sno when we found her asked her to do Omni-Barre she finished perfectly and on time. Connie went on to build out Mind Worx another amazing build out, so I asked her to build out Bloc Cycle I would deffinately recommend Connie ONYX Contracting for any build out or remodel.
